studio leilu is an illustration and design studio working across illustration, art licensing, visual storytelling, surface design, and public art, founded by Stockholm-based visual artist Ludi Leiva.

With over a decade of experience and an MFA in Visual Communication, I’ve brought creative ideas to life for global clients including Apple, The Guardian, Adidas, and Vogue. Following a period dedicated to developing my fine art practice, I am returning to commercial and collaborative projects with fresh perspectives and renewed creative energy to through studio leilu.

I partner with brands, businesses, and people to create distinctive, thoughtful visuals rooted in collaboration, shared values, and a human-centered approach. Across applications and disciplines, the focus is on creating work that feels considered, engaging, and full of life.

Working primarily with physical media and digital post-production, I’m drawn to texture, expressive marks, and the beauty of handmade imperfection. In an increasingly automated visual world, I believe in the value of work that carries the trace of a human hand. My visual language draws on the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, where I grew up, my Latin American heritage, and the Scandinavian design sensibility of everyday life in Stockholm. Together, these influences shape a practice that is deeply personal, tactile, and ever-evolving.
