Landscape Studies

Watercolour studies of hills, shorelines and layered earth. Made with wet washes of paint, allowing pigment to pool and the grain of the paper to shine through.

Overlapping organic shapes, ridges and the edges where water meets land and land meets sky. A testing ground for colour, rhythm and repetition, layers of paint are built in delicate washes and left to settle where they want to.
